Visiting any church for the very first time can be a tough experience, and we want to put you at ease. Your first visit to Heritage Baptist will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for the whole family. You will experience inspiring hymns, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome and "at home"! Our heartfelt prayer is for people to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and become actively involved in a Bible-believing, Bible-preaching church that cares for them. Here are a few answers to your questions and what you might expect on your first visit.
Sunday Morning Worship Service is at 10:30 AM.
We will be integrating our Sunday School, Sunday PM services, and Mid-Week services as the weeks go by. Check back often for more updates regarding these service additions. You can't miss our church, which is right on the main street in Jackson. Going West on Hwy 72, we are approximately 3 blocks down from the High school on the right. Our signs are stretegically placed on Sunday mornings to where you can't miss us. From the time you enter our parking lot, to the time you drive away, you will feel right at home. Our goal is that your first impression of Heritage will be one you will not forget for weeks and months to come. When you enter the building, one of our hospitatlity greeters will meet you and direct you to the auditorium where the preaching service is held.
There is not a dress code at Heritage Baptist Church for members or for guests. Our ministry leaders are asked to dress in modest apparel that would honor the Lord Jesus Christ and represent Him well, both in church and out. Many of our church family dress in a more traditional "Sunday" dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome on your visit here at Heritage.
At every service there is a safe, clean, and highly staffed nursery for children three years old and under. We also offer a children's church with great teaching, games, and lots of other fun things for children through the 3rd grade.
No. We do not invite you to Heritage for your money. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God's Word, and a place where you can grow in God's grace. Please don't feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
At Heritage, we offer a traditional style of service/worship. It is our goal to lift up and magnify the name of Jesus through the song service, and especially through the preaching portion of the service. We hold to the belief that we can do this in a traditional setting, and still mainting an exciting environment for worshiping our God!
If there are any questions you have that we did not answer in this section of the website, please feel free to contact us with any questions, comments, or concerns you have about our church. We hope to see you in one of the services soon!
